Complete Pedobarography

By COFAI • January 13, 2025 • Comments Off on Complete Pedobarography

The Caribbean Foot and Ankle Institute (COFAI) offers Complete Pedobarography, a cutting-edge diagnostic service that measures the distribution of pressure across the soles of the feet. This advanced analysis provides valuable insights into foot function, helping diagnose conditions such as flat feet, high arches, plantar fasciitis, and biomechanical imbalances. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with diabetes, sports-related injuries, or chronic foot pain.

What to Expect During Your Visit

A pedobarography assessment at COFAI is non-invasive and highly informative. The visit begins with a brief consultation where our specialists discuss your medical history, symptoms, and any relevant concerns. Patients then walk across a specialized pressure-sensitive mat or wear sensor-equipped insoles during their natural gait. These tools record data on how pressure is distributed across the foot during standing, walking, or running.

The collected data is analyzed to identify areas of high or uneven pressure, imbalances, or abnormal gait patterns. Our specialists use this information to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include custom orthotics, physical therapy, footwear recommendations, or exercises to improve foot mechanics. For athletes, the analysis can also optimize performance and reduce the risk of injury.

With COFAI’s Complete Pedobarography service, patients gain a deeper understanding of their foot health and receive targeted interventions to enhance comfort and mobility.

This patient had been struggling with persistent foot pain 🦶🏽, and despite previous evaluations, the cause was still undetermined. However, when she came to us, signs of blood pooling below her foot and x-ray results 🩻 pointed to a Lisfranc injury. Watch as we uncover the true cause of her pain and treat it with internal fixation using plates and screws🔩, getting her back on the path to healing💪🏽. #foot #injury #fracture #pain #lisfrancinjury #surgery #fyp #trini_tiktoks
